PAC-Symposium: Where Clinical Skills Meet Business Growth
The 2026 PAC Symposium is being held April 23-25, 2026, at the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport in Toronto. This year’s theme is: Beyond the Arch: Where Clinical Skills Meet Business Growth. More than 250 Pedorthists and healthcare professionals with a keen interest in the assessment and treatment of the lower limbs and feet are expected to be in attendance.
The Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC)’s annual Symposium is an educational event known internationally for bringing together the best keynote, plenary, and workshop speakers from around the globe. It provides many networking opportunities to the association’s members, while helping to elevate the Pedorthic profession on a national and international level.
This year’s program centers on strengthening pedorthic practice through strategic growth, better communication, and evidence‑based care. It opens with Peter Wright’s keynote on building resilient clinics, highlighting strategic roadmaps, clear value propositions, profitability, and preparing for ownership transitions. Dani Kagan then illustrates how everyday problems and lived experience with foot pain can inspire consumer‑focused products that patients trust and use regularly. Sessions with Brett Thompson and Jeff Lewis focus on operational excellence, introducing the Entrepreneurial Operating System for clarity and accountability, and a 3D‑printing–based manufacturing model to reduce costs and increase control.
Clinical communication and documentation are addressed by Matt Deeter and Andrea Di Croce, who cover compliant, insurer‑friendly language, CPC alignment, and lessons from a national audit to strengthen SOAP notes and protect certification. Falls and mobility are explored in two sessions by Chantal von Schoenberg, moving from an interdisciplinary framework to practical tools that reduce fear of falling and restore movement. Additional talks and panels examine diversification into footwear, compression, bracing, and allied health; research on rockered footwear for metatarsalgia; integrating the next generation of pedorthists through mentorship and education; and advancing biomechanical assessment and orthotic management, including for the supinated foot.
