OST Congress: Call for Abstracts

At the congress ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK on 23 and 24 October 2015 there will be once more a block with free lectures. You can hand in abstracts for this as of now. Craftsmen, podiatrists, physicians and scientists are welcome to enrich the congress program with their presentations. Case studies from the practice of orthopedic shoe technology or podiatry are as welcome as medical lectures or results of scientific studies. We would appreciate your lectures to refer to the congress focus, but this is not a condition for the acceptance of your lecture. The language of the congress is German with simultaneous interpreting into English. You can also hand in English presentations for the block of free lectures, however there will be no interpreting provided.

We consider all entries but would like to encourage you to take on one of the focused topics of the conference in your lecture, such as:

• Sensorimotor processes and locomotion control
• Interdisciplinary cooperation of orthopedics, foot surgery and orthopedic shoe technology
• International treatment and care concepts
• Orthopedic custom-made shoes
• Orthopedic shoe modifications
• Materials and their processing
• Harmful substances within orthopedic shoe technology
• Podiatry within the treatment and care of diabetes.

The selection of the presentations depends on the importance of the topic, the linkage to the congress topic and the interests of the participants. A specialized committee will evaluate the presentations. Their authors will be notified as of April 2015 of the status of the selection. Due to the limited space within the congress program, it may happen that not all presentations that meet the criteria, can be accepted for the program. The committee reserves the right to make a choice and to decide upon the kind of presentation. The committee also reserves the right to reject presentations that do not comply with congress rules.

Please turn in your presentations by 31 March 2015. All necessary information can be found at the trade fair website.
