IVO Japan Seminar 2014

The IVO Japan seminar was held in Nagoya, Japan, on 4 October 2014. The IVO Japan chooses different topics for its seminars every year. This year’s topic was ‘Know-how and experience for making sports inserts’.

In the morning session, Dr. Mutsuo Yamada held a lecture about lower limb sports injuries. The lecture started with major complaints from patients and from surveys. After that, he explained about the assessment and the strategy of the treatment. The lecture also included prescriptions and re-assessments. The afternoon session began with a lecture of Mr. Toshiharu Kanke from Bauerfeind Japan. His topic was ‘Usage of footprint and sports inserts market overview’. In the afternoon session, 4 IVO Japan members also held presentations about their experience with sports inserts. Over 50 members attended this seminar. IVO Japan plans to have an advanced sports inserts seminar next year.
