ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK - The best overview of the industry

On 24 and 25 October 2025, Cologne will once again be the meeting place for the global pedorthic industry. All the major industry partners will be presenting their products and services at ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK, which is organised by C. Maurer Fachmedien.
With over 150 exhibitors, this event will feature significantly more companies than the last trade fair. The originally planned exhibition space has therefore had to be expanded. As at previous events, ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK – International Trade Fair and Congress offers the world's largest overview exclusively for pedorthics.
A wide range of national and international pedorthics suppliers will be presenting themselves at the trade fair, covering the entire spectrum of the industry. This includes everything from leather materials and shafts to adhesives and materials for all tasks in the trade. Manufacturers of comfort and therapeutic shoes, as well as suppliers of orthoses and bandages, will also be in attendance. As in previous years, the trade fair will focus on new technologies. These range from digital foot measurement systems to computer-aided design and manufacturing systems. While there are many suppliers in the field of 3D printing, the milling of foot orthotics and lasts continues to play an important role. Various suppliers will present systems for electronic pressure distribution measurement and motion analysis, including AI-supported systems that can automatically measure joint angles. Due to a shortage of skilled workers in the industry, the outsourcing of custom-made shoes has grown significantly in recent years. Several service providers offering this type of production will be showcasing their work at the trade fair.
For the first time, there will be a start-up area where companies that have entered the market with innovative ideas within the last three years can showcase their work.
Apprentice Day, 24 October
Apprentice Day is back on Friday, sponsored by C. Maurer Fachmedien and numerous industry supporters. Trainees will receive free admission and have part of their travel expenses reimbursed. They will also receive discounted tickets for seminars tailored precisely to their needs.
CAMPUS and FORUM
Educational institutions specialising in pedorthics will be presenting themselves at the event, including the master schools for orthopaedic shoemaking, the Competence Centre for Orthopaedic Shoe Technology (KomZet O.S.T.), Praeparatio e.V. and other industry-related educational institutions. Visitors will have the opportunity to obtain first-hand information about further education and training opportunities here. Various projects will also be presented interactively in the CAMPUS area. Topics include recruiting young talent and training-related projects. Industry partners will present new developments and products, and showcase their services, at the forum. Admission to these presentations is free.
