The Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC) is hosting its 2019 Symposium in Vancouver, BC at the Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. More than 300 Pedorthists, Podiatrists, Chiropodist, Orthotists and others concerned with the neurobiology of pedorthics are expected to attend North America’s largest Pedorthic event, which will be held April 11 – 13.
PAC’s annual Symposium is an educational event known internationally for bringing together some of the best keynote, plenary and workshop speakers from around the world. In addition to high quality presentations, the Symposium features a tradeshow with 60+ exhibit booths. Attendees will have plenty of opportunity to visit with exhibitors. All breaks are held in the exhibit hall, as well as both breakfasts and a lunch.

Symposium Sydney, September 19-21, 2019: Striding Ahead Moving Forward in 2019
After a successful symposium in Adelaide 2018, with delegates from Australia, the Netherlands, USA and Japan, the Pedorthic Association of Australia once again invites Pedorthists and other Allied Health Professionals from Australia and all over the world to attend the annual event.
Join the networking area and be part of the only Pedorthic conference in the Southern hemisphere. The symposium is of interest for everyone, who works in Pedorthics or related fields dealing with feet, footwear and the lower limb.

Trade Fair and Congress: Fit for the future!
If you want to make your company fit for the future, the 5th ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK Trade Fair and Congress running from 18 to 19 October 2019 in Cologne, Germany is just the right place. This industry high point will offer attendees the opportunity to gather comprehensive information, receive continuing education and discover new product trends. As at the past four events, there will be plenty of opportunities for personal exchange and networking.
Key Focus of the Congress: Digitization in Pedorthics
During the two-day trade fair and congress, participants will again receive numerous impulses for further perfecting their craft. This time, one topic of focus will be digitization. What must businesses prepare for and how can they cope with digital transformation? Numerous presentations will acquaint congress participants with how digitization is changing processes in pedorthics and how one can best adapt – because digitization in pedorthics means more than just working with scanners, CAD, milling or 3D printers.
Identifying and documenting improvements
Scientific evidence supporting the treatment concepts applied in pedorthics is increasingly being demanded: Scientific studies are necessary to research and elucidate their fundamental modes of action. For pedorthists, however, it is also important to have criteria and methods that allow improvements in individual patient outcomes to be identified and documented in routine practice. Various methods of this kind will be presented at the congress.
Finding the cause of pain
The place where pain occurs is not always where the pain is caused. Identifying the origin of the pain is the key to selecting the appropriate form of treatment. At the congress, selected examples will be used to demonstrate how etiological research can succeed within an interdisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists and pedorthists and what consequences result from these findings.
Useful knowledge abounding in seminars
As in previous years, the lecture program will be supplemented by some 30 seminars, some of which will relate to the congress lectures, but will also cover topics from other areas, such as marketing, business management and shoe retailing. Seminars will also be offered in English upon request, as no interpretation will be provided for the German-language seminars.
Next-Generation pedorthists also get their money’s worth
Trainees and apprentices will also have plenty to see and discover at the 5th ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK Trade Fair and Congress: Apprentices’ Day will again be held on the Friday of the fair, offering apprentices continuing education opportunities in the form of specialist lectures and apprentice-relevant seminars.
