OT-World 2018: Digitalisation & Evidence

At the OT World-Congress – 15 to 18 May  2018 in Leipzig, Germany – orthotists and  prosthetists, pedorthists and engineers,  doctors and therapists from all over the  world are brought together to share  improved care options  for the benefit of  patients.

Speakers from  the industry, the skilled  trades, the academic,  scientific and medical  communities ensure that  the agenda is set for treatments using  modern aids, prostheses and orthoses –  and not only in Germany.  With over 20,000 visitors from more  than 80 countries and some 550  exhibitors, OTWorld in Leipzig is the  world's leading trade fair for prosthetics,  orthotics, orthopaedic footwear technology,  compression therapy and technical  rehabilitation.  Issues relating to the use of evidence  and digitalisation in treatments using  mechanical aids will come under particular  scrutiny at the next event. Because of  these influences, the entire healthcare  system is facing a radical change, which  is also impacting on orthopaedic technology.  Both at the World Congress and in  the international trade fair, OTWorld will,  under the overall notion of Orthopaedics  4.0, throw the spotlight on important  developments, trends and challenges for  orthopaedic technology tomorrow.
