100 years of pedorthics

This year we have a special occasion to celebrate: 100 years of pedorthics will give distinction to the trade fair and the congress. An exhibition brings to mind the most important developments and achievements of this trade, and also the trade fair party organized by C. Maurer Fachmedien on Friday evening will celebrate the anniversary energetically.

Congress with a broad range of topics.

The congress of the ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK developed into one of the most important events for the presentation of the latest findings on the treatment of foot problems within just a few years. Whether in a congress lecture or in a seminar: Participants can update their knowledge. „Fit into the future - 100 years of pedorthics“ is the motto of the congress this year, sponsored by Springer Aktiv AG. With an extensive lecture and seminar program the congress focuses on topics that prepare pedorthics for the future. For example difficult treatments with custom-made shoes, new findings on the relation between foot posture and body posture, the interdisciplinary treatment of foot problems as well as the latest findings on the avoidance of ulcerations on the diabetic foot. For the congress we have already a positive answer of renowned speakers, among them Prof. Gert-Peter Brüggemann, Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln, and Dr. Sicco Bus, University Of Amsterdam. All lectures in the congress hall are interpreted simultaneously (English/German). Furthermore there will be seminars in English (Biomechanics of shoe modifications, pressure distribution measurement, Smart Glove for data collection on the foot).
