Indian researchers develop orthosis to address foot drop

Two graduates of the Kumaraguru College of Technology in Coimbatore, India, have developed an orthotic device that uses electrical stimulation to counter the effects of foot drop. The ankle-foot orthosis, which can generate progress reports, senses the position of the foot to determine if an electrical stimulus is needed.
